  3. What sizes do your beanies come in?

Because babies and children come in all shapes and sizes and their heads grow rapidly in the first couple of years, our sizes noted below are meant to be a guideline only. Sizing should be adjusted accordingly if your child is smaller or larger than average.

Our beanies come in the following sizes:

    Size Head Circumference
    Newborn 35 cm
    Baby 3-6mths 43 cm
    Baby 6-12mths  45 cm
    Toddler-Prescholer (12 mths-3yrs) 48 cm
    Child (3-10yrs) 51 cm
    Tween-Teen (11+ yrs) 53 cm

If in doubt follow the instructions below to work out the correct size for your child.

    • Wrap a tape measure around your child's head just above the eyebrows
    • Insert your index finger inside the tape measure (allowing extra room for growth).
    • Read the measurement in centimeters and compare with our sizes.

It would be very helpful if you also provided the front to back and side to side measurements as well - go to for further information.

  4. What is Crochet?

    Wikipedia defines Crochet as:

"Crochet (pronounced /kroʊˈʃeɪ/) is a process of creating fabric from yarn or thread using a crochet hook. The word is derived from the French word "crochet", meaning hook. Crocheting, similar to knitting, consists of pulling loops of yarn through other loops. Crochet differs from knitting in that only one loop is active at one time (the sole exception being Tunisian crochet), and that a crochet hook is used instead of knitting needles."

  5. What type of yarn is used?

100% pure new Australian wool is used to make all woollen wares.

See this blog post for more details.

Where possible 100% pure new Australian made cotton is used to create wears.  Some shades of cotton are impossible to get if you are looking for Australian cotton.  Non-Austrlaian cottons are occassionally used for emblishments.
